Saturday, December 24,2011

Well it is here, Christmas eve.  The busiest day of the year and I bet Santa says that.  Well it is time to wrap presents, baking goodies. Well, like I said earlier, our family is doing a talent show.  We are ready.  Sharpening up our voices, getting our outfits pressed and enjoying family tomorrow.  Will let everyone know after Christmas how the talent show went.  We are excited.  We love to perform together.  I love family traditions.

Have a great Christmas.  May many blessings come your way.  See everyone tomorrow after Santa has come.  I am so excited as I hope that I can go to sleep.  I might go take a nap today to get ready for Christmas.

Merry Christmas and so looking forward to a new year.  Love and blessings to everyone.  Just remember God is the reason for the season.

Sunday, December 18 through Friday, December 23,2011

Well,  how is everyone doing?  I have been so busy getting ready for Christmas.  So much to do, so many people to express thanks for the things they do in your life.  I am still seeing kindness and will continue with my kindness 24/7 campaign carrying over into 2012.  By showing kindness to others, our lives will be richer.

Well tomorrow, my daughter and I will be baking as this is our special time together. I hope everyone is starting new traditions and carrying on old traditions.  I will do the same.  I am blessed for every day I have and am so thankful to God for every day.

See everyone tomorrow on Christmas eve and I will be tracking Santa and i hope u do the same.  He is ia busy man.

Saturday, December 17, 2011

Well, I survived yesterday on finishing up Christmas shopping.  People everywhere trying to find the best deal and the special gift or gifts for that loved one.  People were caring like allowing people to get in front of them in traffic, you know every other one rule!  Christmas spirit and kindness is still there with Christmas getting closer.  Handing them coupons to save on their purchases.  A woman handed me a coupon and she did not even know me, what a kindness!

Has anyone accepted my challenge for kindness 24/7.  That is what I am calling it.  Help someone you do not know, share a smile, a hug.  It will make a difference in your life and theirs.  After shopping yesterday, came home and my daughter and I went to see a live nativity scene.  Yes, it is wonderful.  This is something we do every year. Create a tradition or keep the old ones going.  We got to dress up as either an angel, shepherd or king.  Got our picture taken and then got to partake of cocoa and cookies.  It was well worth it.

I am resting up this week to get ready for baking and yes we are still working on our talent for the talent show and will let everyone know how that goes after Christmas Day.

Hope everyone has a great day and remember u r blessed and bless someone today.  See everyone tomorrow.

Friday, December 16, 2011

Well, we have been out looking for Christmas spirit.  Well, we found it.  It is everywhere!  Special angels making Christmas special for people they do not even know.  Paying for a meal, paying for layaway items that will bring a smile to many faces on Christmas morning.  Giving of what we have in abundance to people that are in need. That is really what Christmas is about.

People get lost in the commercialism of Christmas but there are good people out there sharing their blessings with people and when we give of ourselves to people in need that is how we are blessed.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.  Last weekend to shop before Christmas.  I offer a challenge to everyone that we could carry over the spirit of giving 365 days a year.  What a better world this would be if we gave out blessings year round.  I know that is my goal for now and 2012.

See everyone tomorrow.  Count your blessings because I have many and have added some more today.

Thursday, December 15, 2011

Well it is Thursday and the weekend is almost here.  I have been resting up as I need to finish up my Christmas shopping this weekend.  I really do not know how Santa does all of this.  What a powerhouse he is!  It is still warm here and we have been out and about looking for Christmas spirit.  We were listening to Christmas songs today in the car and my 13 year old daughter loves singing Christmas songs.  There is nothing better in life than being with your daughter, singing Christmas songs and not a care in the world.

We are getting ready for a talent show on Christmas Day.  There is lots to do and lots of planning but in the end, what a way for families to come together and share in the day than to be together and enjoy special time.  Every family should experience this and make it a family tradition.

Well we are off to practice, sharpen up our act and get plenty of rest.  Hope everyone has a great Christmas, start a new family tradition or even keep doing the traditions that your family has already started.  What a gift to pass down to your family for future generations to experience.  Enjoy your family.  Many blessings this Christmas season.  See everyone tomorrow.

Warmer weather today giving a false sense of security

Well, here it is Wednesday, December 14, 2011 and the weather here in Texas has warmed up giving us a false sense of security.  We are still preparing for Christmas.  Christmas here in Texas is a state of mind.  I remember as a kid wearing shorts on Christmas Day and thinking this is cool and are there other kids in their shorts playing with their Christmas presents.  Christmas is what you make it.  Well in Texas u always keep your shorts close by and the A/C ready to turn on at any moment and then get zapped back into colder weather, sweat pants.  What a journey!

Hope everyone is having a blessed Christmas season.  I think that I am caught up on sending out Christmas cards.  At Christmas time, there is always something to do but always make sure you make time for yourself, get your rest, eat healthy and get plenty of sleep.  I hope Santa is following this regimen because he will need it for Christmas.

Well we are enjoying the warm up here as we have a saying here in Houston, if you do not like the weather, wait 15 minutes and it will change.  Well, I am off to check and see if I need more wrapping paper which I probably will and going to the mailbox to see if we got any more Christmas cards as I am trying to keep up with the season.

See everyone tomorrow.  Just remember God is the reason that we are so blessed.  I know I am.

Tuesday and all is well

Tuesday, December 13,2011

How is everyone's Christmas shopping coming along?  I am almost through.  Enjoying time with my daughter and finishing up homeschooling before Christmas gets here.  Is everyone going to be watching The Biggest Loser?  We love that show.  I am working on losing weight and 2012 is going to be my year.  Save and make money which I am already doing and personal growth.

I love to help people be able to stay home, save money and make money and enhance family time.  I am looking at our family Christmas tree and thinking back to when I was little and how exciting it is waiting for Christmas to get here.  I love looking at our ornaments on our tree and it really tells a story of past linked to present.  I have ornaments on the tree that my grandmother gave me and when we decorated the tree, I told my daughter the story of her great grandmother and yes I was named after her.

Look at your family Christmas tree and talk about the ornaments on the tree as each one tells a story and it would be special family time.

Talk to everyone tomorrow.  Remember that God is the reason for the season.

Christmas

Christmas is coming.  Taking a few minutes to reflect on the holidays.  My daughter and I went to a Christmas Carol play and we sat on the second row and it was so wonderful.  I cherish every minute I have with her.  She is 13 years old.  I am a breast cancer survivor of 10 years and am so blessed to have been here to see her grow up.  She is an amazing person and I am in awe of her every day.  I know that by being her mom that it has enhanced my life beyond measure.  I cannot imagine her not being in my life. What a blessing she is.  I am also blessed to homeschool her.  It is our 5th year and loving every minute of it.

Hope everyone has a good holiday season and I know that my reason for the season is God and my daughter.  He has so blessed me.
